Parks, Recreation, Libraries, and Open Space Advisory Board advises staff and City Council on various community needs and provides input related to parks, recreation, libraries, and open space issues, service delivery to the community, and long-range planning. The board also reviews proposed rules and regulations for parks and open space, recreation and libraries facilities and programs, as well as materials challenges from the public. The board reviews applications and makes recommendations on the distribution of funds for the Neighborhood Enhancement Program. In addition, the board represents the interests of residents to Parks, Recreation, and Libraries Department staff for the delivery of services to inform, educate and culturally enrich the entire Westminster community. This board typically meets on the second Thursday of January, March, May, July, September, and November from 6 to 8 p.m. at various locations.
