Westminster City Hall will open to the general public on Monday, June 14 for the first time since it closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Staff are excited to reopen the doors of City Hall to the public after being closed due to the pandemic. While almost all services were able to seamlessly continue remotely for the past 15 months, residents will now have the option of in-person service as well. For those that prefer it, all services will also continue to be accessible online or by phone (the one exception is passport services—these will resume at a later date).
To assist with the reopening transition, the city has hired temporary greeters to welcome walk-in visitors and provide directional assistance.
City Hall will resume its normal hours of 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
With the reopening of City Hall, City Council meetings will resume meeting in person starting June 14. The City Council meetings will continue to be offered virtually as well.
Additionally, the Westminster Municipal Court is now conducting all court and jury trials in person (some exceptions apply—be sure to check the Municipal Court website for details).
All visitors to municipal buildings are reminded that per CDC guidelines, those who are not fully vaccinated are advised to wear a face covering. Public restrooms are open, hand sanitizer is available, and employees must undergo a health screening before reporting to work.
