On Thursday, Dec. 3, Innovation Coordinator Gregg Moss hosted WestyRISE – Step Up For Our Community, a livestream event featuring government officials and medical experts to talk about the ongoing COVID-19 public health crisis and what our community can do during these unprecedented times.
Guests at the event included Colorado Governor Jared Polis, Westminster City Manager Don Tripp, Adams County Commissioner Emma Pinter, Jefferson County Commissioner Lesley Dahlkemper, Brighton City Manager Jane DiSessa, Northglenn City Manager Heather Geyer, Thornton City Manager Kevin Woods, Infection Prevention Manager at SCL Health Kelley Knapek and Tri-County Health Executive Director Dr. John Douglas.
Topics that the guests covered individually and as a panel included working together as a community to defeat COVID-19; keeping businesses, family and friends healthy; and what resources are available nationally and locally to help individuals and businesses.
