Swashbuckler Regatta
Sunday, September 8 | 7 a.m. - 2 p.m. | Standley Lake Regional Park

Ahoy matey! Join the 2nd Annual Standley Lake Swashbuckler Scrimmage. This event is meant to bring paddlers of all shapes and sizes together. The morning will have rowing crews compete in a 5000 meter head race course. In the afternoon, kayakers and standup paddlers will do a sprint race of 1000 meters. This is a family-friendly event, welcoming children and parents to participate in small paddle crafts.

All watercraft must be sprayed down at the spray station before it is allowed to be on the lake. We recommend participants give themselves plenty of time before the competition to prepare. AGES: 13+

Movie in the Park: Migration 
Friday, Sept. 13   |   7 p.m.   |   McFall Park   |   FREE! 

Watch your favorite movies on a giant, outdoor screen! Live music, pre-show activities, and food concessions start at 7 p.m. The movie starts at dusk. Presented by Intermountain Health, with support from Xfinity and Yogurt Brothers

Family Camp Night
Saturday, September 14 - Sunday, September 15   |   Starts 1 p.m.   |  Standley Lake Regional Park |   $25/$30

Come say goodbye to summer at our annual camp  night at Standley Lake! This program is for the whole  family, with activities like a live animal show, guided nature programs, arts and crafts, an outdoor movie  and much more. Check-in begins Saturday afternoon.  All campers must be checked out by 12 p.m. Sunday.

History Tour: Cultural Connections
September 21 | 10 a.m.-1:00 p.m. | Westminster History Center, 7200 Lowell Blvd

Learn how different cultures have shaped Westminster through the built environment and regional connections.  We will tour the Hmong Community Garden, Torii Square Park, Fireman’s Park, the Westminster Presbyterian Church, other local places of worship, and local landmarks in this area.

Partner Event: Orchard Farmers Market
June-September | Sundays | 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.  | Orchard Town Center

The vibrant Sunday farmers market will take place at the Orchard Town Center in the Macy’s parking lot June-September in 2024.Featuring fresh produce, fruits, roasted chilis, breads, baked goods, drinks, handmade specialty foods and more!

Outdoor Theater: The Last Night of Red Barker

The historic retelling of Lloyd Barker of the Ma Barker Gang comes to life this October with "The Last Night of Red Barker"—a month-long production by celebrated theater company The Catamounts! This site-specific, immersive show is one you won't want to miss!


2024 Westy Fest

Bring the whole family to kick off the fall season at our FREE fall festival with carnival games, trick-or-treating, a spectacular hot air balloon glow, live musical performances by local bands, food trucks, jumping castles, and more. You can even pick out the perfect pumpkin at the pumpkin patch!

Holiday Lighting Ceremony

Experience the magical wonderland of lights at the annual Holiday Lighting Ceremony at Westminster City Hall, complete with holiday music, food vendors, and of course, a visit with Santa! The full-size sleigh and kid-size train are perfect settings for family photos. Dress warmly—the event is mostly outside!
