Change in Combined Tax Rates
As discussed above, the total tax rate imposed upon sales within the city includes certain taxes collected by the Colorado Department of Revenue. The Football Stadium District Tax of 0.10% expired on Dec. 31, 2011. This reduced the combined tax rates, but did not affect returns filed with the city. The City of Westminster sales and use tax rate of 3.85% was unchanged. Review the announcement on the Colorado Department of Revenue website for more information on this change. Revised tables detailing the combined tax rate are available in the Sales Tax Information and Use Tax Information sections. The tables above reflect the revised combined rates.
