Growth Then and Now

The city's Comprehensive Plan is the policy that guides and manages future growth.

  • It was created in 2013 and amended in 2015.
  • This plan contemplated a 2035 planning horizon.
  • It is currently being updated through a component of Westminster Forward, a coordination of long-term plans/projects to create the framework for the future of Westminster. This initiative includes:
    • Comprehensive Plan (land use and planning)
    • Parks, Recreation and Libraries Plan
    • Transportation and Mobility Plan
    • Sustainability Plan
    • Water Supply Plan
    • These efforts will take place along with specific projects to update the city's Development Code, Design Standards and Sign Code.
