High School Internship Program
The City of Westminster partners with Adams 12 Five Star Schools, Westminster Public Schools and Jefferson County Public Schools to provide internship opportunities. The internship program offers students from area high schools an opportunity to earn school credit and gain practical work experience (non-paid) in a chosen professional/technical career under the supervision of an experienced employer. The spring program runs for 15 weeks from January to May. The summer program runs May to August. We currently have a partnership with Westminster High School, Bollman Technical Education Center, and Jefferson County Executive High School Internship Program. Interns serve in areas as diverse as fleet, equipment mechanic, recreation, video production and more.
