Date – June 6, 2019
Early this morning, around 2:45am, Westminster Police were notified of a one car accident in the 9200 block of Wadsworth Parkway.
The preliminary investigation indicates a single car was travelling at a high rate of speed westbound on 92nd Avenue when it struck a curb. There were two occupants in the car at the time of the accident and a juvenile male was ejected during the crash. This male was pronounced deceased on scene. A second juvenile male was transported to the hospital and has since been released.
This accident is still under investigation, however police believe speed and drugs may be contributing factors in the crash.
At this time no charges have been filed.
The identity of the deceased juvenile will be released by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
