Date – June 27, 2018
On June 26, 2018 Westminster Police Officers were dispatched to the 10300 block of Dover Street on a burglary in progress.
Officers arrested a female suspect on the following charges:
Jovan Lynn Martinez
Second Degree Burglary 18-4-203(1)
Criminal Mischief 18-4-501(1)(4)(B)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 18-18-428(1)
Possession of Burglary Tools 18-4-205(1)
Made False Report to Authorities 18-8-111(1)(d)
Identity Theft 18-5-902(1)(B)
Criminal Possession of a Financial Transaction Device 18-5-903(1)(C)
Criminal Possession of an Identification Document 18-5-903.5
The identity of the male suspect is not being released at this time. He is in critical condition at a local hospital.

This afternoon around 1:50p.m. Westminster Police responded to a call of a burglary in progress that was occurring in the 10300 block of Dover St.
A female suspect fled from the scene on foot. Officers were able to apprehend her a short distance later.
A male suspect fled the burglary scene in a car. Officers were able to locate the car a short distance away. The car was discovered to be stolen.
The male driver ran a red light and evaded officers and officers pursued the car. The male driver swerved at a motorcycle officer, who then fired his gun at the male suspect.
The male suspect was transported to an area hospital. His condition is unknown.
We do not believe there is any danger to the public at this point.
The 17th Judicial District Critical Incident Team will be investigating the incident.
92nd Ave is currently closed in both directions between Harlan St. and Sheridan Blvd. it will likely remain closed through the rush hour.
The motor officer involved in the incident was not injured.
