Home Heavily Damaged by Fire
October 3, 2018, Westminster, CO – At 11:32pm on October 2, Westminster Firefighters were dispatched to reports of a fire at a residence in the 6100 block of 111th Avenue. When crews arrived at 11:36pm they encountered a large amount of fire involving an exterior structure in the rear of the home and fire had also extended inside of the home. All occupants were evacuating the house as fire crews were arriving on-scene and they all escaped without injury. Firefighters from North Metro Fire Rescue District also responded to assist in control of the fire. The fire was reported to be out at 12:10am on October 3. No injuries were sustained by firefighters. The early estimate of the financial loss involved is $150,000. Fire investigators are looking into the cause of the fire at this time.
