The driver of the suspect vehicle was identified as Juan Ignacio Duran.  He was arrested on scene, transported to Good Samaritan Hospital, and later taken to Jefferson County Jail.

Duran was charged with the following:

  • Drove under the influence of Alcohol
  • Vehicular Homicide/DUI resulting in death
  • Vehicular Homicide/Reckless driving resulting in death

The incident is under investigation.  No further information will be released at this time.
