Community Reach Center will lead a Behavioral Health Community Forum 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, at Ciancio’s at Hyland Hills Restaurant, 9650 Sheridan Blvd. Community leaders and the public have been invited to attend and participate.

Community Reach Center CEO Rick Doucet will make opening remarks. He will define the scope of access in behavioral healthcare, highlight successful Community Reach programs specifically designed to improve access, and summarize current work at the agency to close the gap between an initial intake appointment and the first clinical appointment.

Table teams will spend about 30 minutes discussing several behavioral health topics. The table teams will share summaries of their discussions during the last 30 minutes of the forum.

“We are really excited to host this innagural Behavioral Health Community Forum, to highlight successful mental health services and resources in our region and discuss concepts for growth,” CEO Rick Doucet said.

Community Reach Center encourages attendees to come prepared to share their perceptions on what’s working well in terms of meeting behavioral health needs in their community, and ideas for systems improvement. Attendance is free, but registration is required. To RSVP, please visit the Community Reach Center website to register. Lunch will be provided.

Please note this event replaces the annual Community Reach Center Legislative Breakfast event. For all of you who have attended that event in the past, please join us at this first annual Behavioral Health Community Forum luncheon event. We are excited to hear your views!
