Countryside pool reopens on July 3

Countryside pool reopens on July 3

As the city works to safely reopen recreation facilities during the COVID-19 public health crisis, the Parks, Recreation and Libraries Department will be opening the Countryside Pool for the summer, starting Friday, July 3. The pool will operate on a reservation basis with capacity limited to no more than 50 users at a time.

Pool hours will be:

  • July 3 and July 4: 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Beginning Sunday. July 5 the schedule will be:

  • Monday through Thursday 1–8 p.m.
  • Friday through Sunday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Admission is free to all City of Westminster Recreation Facility pass holders and $4 for non-pass holders.

“Thank you for your continued patience as we work to safely reopen facilities by mitigating, to the greatest extent possible, the risks posed by the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Parks, Recreation and Libraries Director Jason Genck. “We’re thrilled that the pool will be open for kids, adults and families to come play.”

Pool reservations will be limited to two hour blocks with 30 minutes between blocks for sanitizing and cleaning. Reservations can be made on the city’s Countryside Pool web page.

Locker rooms are available for showering before entering pool, using the restrooms and for hand washing purposes. Personal lockers and showers will not be available for guests at the end of their reservation times to allow staff sufficient time to clean the facility between reservation blocks.

Please adhere to the six foot distancing requirement from those who are not a member of your household. Face coverings must be worn when entering and exiting the facility.
