Lowell Boulevard construction closes it between 56th Way and 62nd Ave
Adams County is currently working on the Lowell Boulevard Improvements Project, which will widen 0.7 miles of Lowell Boulevard, between West 62nd Ave. and Clear Creek.
As part of the project, Lowell Boulevard will be closed to through traffic between West 56th Way and West 62nd Avenue from Oct. 26 to Oct. 30 and then from Nov. 2 to Nov. 6 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The contractor will replace concrete and install pedestrian improvements near the railroad tracks.
A full road closure is required due to the proximity of the work near several railroad crossings and the interaction with train detection equipment.
Access will be maintained to all homes and businesses on the other side of the tracks. Local traffic should follow flagger instructions.
