One of the duties of the city's Public Works and Utilities Department (PWU) is to maintains and enhances the safety and well-being of the community by providing exceptional water and wastewater service. One way that's done is through the city's two drinking water treatment facilities: Semper and Northwest.
PWU staff would like to remind residents that the only things you should flush down the toilet are the three P’s - pee, poo and (toilet) paper.
Items like paper towels and wet wipes don’t break down in our sewer system and can lead to blockages for you and your neighbors.
Thanks for your help in taking care of the infrastructure that provides the city's homes and businesses with safe, reliable, and high-quality drinking water and sewer services.
