Playgrounds and pavilions reopen for play

Playgrounds and pavilions reopen for play

As of Friday, June 26, playgrounds and adjacent amenities such as pavilions, picnic tables and shelters will reopen for public use per the State of Colorado, Tri-County Health and Jefferson County Public Health's Safer at Home orders.

Playgrounds and those amenities are open for gatherings of fewer than 25 people. Please continue to adhere to social distancing protocols and face covering use, per City Council resolution.

The Parks, Recreation and Libraries Department completed an initial cleaning of all playground equipment. However, the city recommends anyone using the playground disinfect any areas, as they deem appropriate.

Thank you for your patience as the city reopens facilities. See the latest reopening information on the city's COVID-19 page.
