Recreation facilities and city parks affected by latest COVID-19 restrictions

In response to skyrocketing COVID-19 cases, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment recently moved Adams County to Level 3 of Safer at Home, effective Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 5 p.m., which will impact the following city facilities and programs:

  • Swim & Fitness Center: Lap swimming will have a maximum of eight users and the weight room will have a maximum of 12 users. Preschool will continue to operate at the current reduced level.
  • City parks: Gatherings of groups around park amenities (playgrounds, shelters, etc.) limited to no more than 10 people.
  • Golf courses: Restaurant operations at Legacy Ridge will reduce capacity from 50% to 25%.

College Hill and Irving St. Libraries are not impacted by these new restrictions. Curbside pickup will remain available, and computer access by reservation only will still accommodate up to six patrons at a time. Regarding sports leagues, staff will work with partner organizations to fulfill field rentals through the end of the season.

Future operations at all Parks, Recreation and Libraries facilities may be impacted further depending on the continued severity of the COVID-19 pandemic and mandates from public health agencies.
