The city is doing an incredible job responding to the 2020 Census so far with a self-response rate in Adams County of 70 percent. We encourage you to “Make Westy Count” and participate in the 2020 Census.
Completing the Census questionnaire is safe, easy and typically takes less than 10 minutes to complete.
Occurring only once every 10 years, the Census is the best opportunity to count all residents in the city regardless of age, race, ethnicity, citizenship status or any other demographic characteristic. The personal information you provide is kept completely confidential, even from other government agencies. The survey is available in 13 languages, with language support available for 59 additional languages upon request.
Completing the 2020 Census is vital for our community. Results will inform how hundreds of billions of dollars in federal funding are allocated to more than 100 programs, including Medicaid, Head Start, block grants for community mental health services, and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, also known as SNAP.
