Trail behind Butterfly Pavilion closed for sewer improvement project
The nature trail south of the Butterfly Pavilion will be closed as early as December 8 ahead of upcoming sewer construction. This area will be closed until summer 2022 while a new sewer pipe is installed and the area is restored. Part of the restoration process inlcudes the addition of more native vegetation in the open space and along the nature trail.
In collaboration with the Butterfly Pavilion, prairie dogs in the area were relocated to the Rocky Flats National Wildlife Refuge.
