Voters elect Seitz, Seymour and Smith for City Council in unofficial results
In the Nov. 5 election, unofficial results indicated that voters reelected Anita Seitz (11,323 votes) and elected Rich Seymour (11,092 votes) and Lindsey Smith (10,489 votes) as City Councillors.
All terms are for four years, beginning Monday, Nov. 11, and will expire in November 2023.
During the City Council meeting on Monday, Nov. 11, the Mayor Pro Tem and the new councillors will formally be seated.
After each regular city election, a Mayor Pro Tem is elected by the city council for a two-year term. This person serves in the capacity of acting mayor in the event of absence or disability of the mayor.
The remaining vote tallies for City Council were Bruce Baker (10,100 votes), Sheela Mahnke (8,815 votes), Michele Haney (7,974 votes), Nick Dyer (5,394 votes) and Patricia “Pat” Moore (4,635 votes).
These vote totals are unofficial until the canvass is completed on Friday, Nov. 22, for Adams County and Monday, Nov. 25, for Jefferson County.
