Subject: Fatal Accident

Date – January 25, 2017

This morning around 10:00 am, a pick-up truck traveling westbound on Highway 36 attempted to exit the Federal Boulevard off ramp.

The truck struck the center jersey barrier on the off ramp, killing the driver.  The adult male driver was the only occupant in the truck at the time of the accident.

It is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol are involved in this accident, and it does not appear as if speed is a contributing factor.
    
The Federal Boulevard off ramp is shut down while the accident is being investigated.  It is anticipated to open sometime early this afternoon.

The identity of the driver will be released by the Adams County Coroner’s office.
