Date – May 23, 2018

This morning around 8:00am Westminster Police received a report of a possibly burglary in progress in the 7800 block of McCella Court.  A neighbor reported seeing several people in a garage, who did not belong at the home.  The neighbor also told police the suspects were trying to remove a large gun safe from the home. She was able to provide police with a vehicle description which was aired to surrounding police agencies.

The homeowner was contacted and told police several handguns along with ammunition were missing from the home.

The suspect vehicle was located a short time later in Wheat Ridge and all three suspects were taken into custody without incident.

This is still an ongoing investigation and we will release the names of the suspects after photo line ups are completed with the witnesses.

Thank you to Wheat Ridge Police Department and other agencies who helped to resolve this incident.
