06/23/19 ***UPDATE*** Possible Kidnapping

Date – June 23, 2019

Throughout the day we have received several tips from citizens reference this case.

Around 4:45pm we were able to make contact with the male and female involved in this incident. 

The male, identified as Tony Villarreal Jr., was taken into custody on a protection order violation.  The female subject was not injured.  The investigation into this incident is ongoing, and more charges may be forthcoming.

Thank you to the public and the media for sharing our press release and helping to generate tips on this case.

We want to remind everyone the best thing for you to do is to be a good witness.  Please call 911 and provide the police with as much detail as you can whenever you see a possible crime being committed.

 

Date – June 23, 2019 - Original Release

 

This morning around 7:55am the Westminster Police Department was notified of a possible kidnapping in the 9100 block of 100th Avenue.  A male suspect was getting gas and a female in the SUV was screaming for help.  The SUV immediately left the area.

 

A short time later police received a second call from the 11200 block of Simms.  The caller reported what is believed to be the same SUV pulled to the side of the road and a female attempting to get out, screaming for help.

 

The SUV is a newer model, 4 door, black in color, dark tinted windows with a temporary tag.

The male is described as a younger white male with short dark hair.

 

We are asking for the public’s help in identifying these individuals.  Anyone with information please call Westminster Police 303 658 4360 or you can remain anonymous by contacting Crime Stoppers 720 913 STOP (7867). You may be eligible for a reward up to $2000.00.
