08/05/2020 Suspicious Fire

This morning Westminster Police and Fire units were dispatched to a trailer fire in the 7200 block of Eaton Street.
Westminster Fire Department was dispatched at 4:22 a.m. after area residents called 911 to report a travel trailer on fire. Firefighters arrived less than six minutes later to find the camper fully engulfed. The fire was under control within 10 minutes of arrival and firefighters also worked to protect nearby homes. One home sustained damage to its exterior siding and a wooden fence. There are no suspected casualties associated with the fire, although crews have not been able to enter the trailer yet. A total of six fire units responded to the fire.
Westminster police detectives and fire investigators are on scene looking into the cause of the fire. At this time it is not known this fire was intentionally set.
