Date – August 26, 2018
On August 25th, 2018 around 8:45pm Westminster Police were dispatched to the area of Ranch Reserve Parkway and Federal Boulevard on several subjects fighting in the roadway.
The initial officer contacted several male subjects who were on the side of the road at that location. During the contact, two males advanced on the officer and refused to obey commands. There was a physical altercation and the officer fired his weapon striking one of the subjects. The male subject was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The identity of the suspect will be released by the Adams County Coroner’s Office.
This is an ongoing investigation and the 17th Judicial Critical Incident Investigation Team will investigate the incident.
