On July 17, 2020, Destiny Morehouse held a gathering for several friends at her residence. Dozens of people are believed to have attended this gathering during the night. During the early morning hours of July 18, 2020, a disturbance occurred, which culminated in a physical altercation in the street outside of the residence. During this altercation Destiny was shot. Sadly, Destiny succumbed to her injuries and left behind a small child.
Detectives have identified people in attendance at the party and developed several leads. We are looking for information directly related to the shooting and actions of the suspect(s).
A private donor helped to increase the amount of the reward in this case to $10,000.00.

On July 17, 2020 Destiny Morehouse held a gathering for several friends at her residence. Dozens of people are believed to have attended this gathering during the night. During the early morning hours of July 18, 2020, a disturbance occurred, which culminated in a physical altercation in the street outside of the residence. As Destiny was attempting to defuse the situation, someone fired a handgun, striking Destiny in the upper torso. Destiny is currently in critical condition on life support.
Investigators believe that 10-15 people observed this altercation and have information that may lead to the identity of the suspect(s) involved. Investigators also believe this incident was videotaped by more than one individual and ask that any photos or videos be forwarded to Investigators.

Date – July 18, 2020
At approximately 4:30am, we received a call of a shooting that just occurred in the 7100 block of Raleigh St. Arriving officers were advised that a large party was taking place outside when a fight occurred. Based on initial information, an adult female attempted to intervene and was shot. The female, who has not been identified, was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.
Detectives are on scene conducting interviews at this time in an attempt to identify a suspect. We are asking anyone who has information about this incident to please call the Westminster Police Department at 303-658-4360.
Raleigh Street is currently closed between 70th place and Elk Drive. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
