11/30/18 Auto Pedestrian Accident

This morning around 6:45am Westminster Police were notified of a truck versus pedestrian accident near Stratford Lakes Boulevard and Federal Boulevard.
The truck, driven by a 17 year old male, was making a left turn onto northbound Federal Boulevard. A 74 year old female pedestrian was standing in the painted median on Federal Boulevard when she was hit. The driver of the truck remained on scene and is cooperating with police.
The victim was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. At this time it is expected she will survive her injuries.
Federal Boulevard was closed from 112th Avenue to 120th Avenue for the morning commute, however the roadway is now open.
This accident is still under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
