Date – March 8, 2018
On March 7, 2018 around 10:50pm Westminster Police received a 911 call of a possible shooting in the area of 5500 79th Avenue.
Officers arriving at the scene found a deceased female suffering from a gunshot wound.
Ezekiel Mark Garcia turned himself in to the Thornton Police Department. He was arrested for 1st Degree Homicide.
It was determined the subjects in the SUV that fled the scene were not directly involved in the homicide.
The identity of the deceased victim will be released by the Jefferson County Coroner.
