City raises over $17,000 for childhood cancer research

City of Westminster employees and community members shaved their heads last month to help raise funds for childhood cancer research. Together, the 30 shavees raised $17,692.

This was the city’s eighth annual event in honor of former Mayor McNally’s grandson, Shea, who passed away in the summer of 2016 of neuroblastoma cancer at the age of 16.

The city has now raised a total of $143,124 in the last eight years.

Please donate throughout the year to fight the number one disease killer of children in the U.S. and Canada.
