City will use Passport app for parkers in Downtown and Westminster Station areas
As development and use has increased in the Downtown Westminster and the Westminster Station areas, the city is moving forward with plans to help manage accessibility and supply of parking in both areas.
The city has already built significant parking infrastructure in both of these areas. There are parking structures at each and multiple surface parking lots that are serving residents, businesses, visitors and transit users.
To help make paying for parking easier, the city will be using Passport for parking payments, digital parking enforcement and permit solutions.
Parkers will be able to take advantage of multiple payment options in the future, from in-person to app-based, while still having a streamlined parking experience.
In addition, the city will be able to manage all customer service, payments, rules, rates, and restrictions from one centralized system.
The city plans to roll out the Passport parking app on Sept. 1 for Downtown Westminster and the Westminster Station areas only.
