It’s normal to be concerned about new diseases and the coronavirus (COVID-19) has gotten quite a bit of attention in the media. The City of Westminster cares about its residents and is closely monitoring information on the state and national level regarding coronavirus and its spread.
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) is aggressively responding to the global outbreak of coronavirus and provides information to communities, such as Westminster, about its potential spread in the United States.
To date, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) reports that there are no confirmed cases in the state of Colorado and the risk of coronavirus for residents is low at this time. Even though there have been no cases in Colorado, and the immediate risk to most people is low, the city, the CDPHE and health and medical partners are closely tracking developments. As always, the city and its employees are committed to your health and safety.
More information on COVID-19 can be obtained from the CDC’s web site, the CDPHE’s web site, and the Tri-County Health Department’s web site.
