Environmental needs assessments for sewer improvements project available for review and comment
The City of Westminster is investing $32 million to repair and replace sections of large sewer pipe throughout the northern portion of the city beginning in 2020. The Big Dry Creek Sewer Improvements Project will be financed in part by a low interest loan from the Colorado Water Resources and Power Development Authority's Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWRSF). CWSRF programs operate around the country to provide states and communities with the resources necessary to maintain and improve the infrastructure that protects our valuable water resources nationwide.
As part of the application process for this funding, the city is required to complete a Project Needs Assessment and an Environmental Assessment. The city values public input on capital improvement projects.

A public hearing will be held by City Council to review the assessments and accept public comment on Monday, Feb. 24. If you choose to speak, you must provide your name and address. Interested parties may also submit written testimony in writing prior to the hearing date to: City of Westminster, Utilities Engineering Division-MSC Annex, 6575 W. 88th Avenue, Westminster, Colorado 80031. Written testimony will be provided to City Council and will be entered into the public record.
The comment period for the Project Needs and Environmental Assessments will end Monday, Feb. 24 following the public hearing.
