Free business energy assessments available from Xcel Energy
The city is partnering with Xcel Energy to help Westminster businesses save energy and money. Xcel Energy provides small and medium businesses (<50,000 square feet) with free, no obligation audits that help identify energy improvement opportunities with big savings potential.
The audit includes a detailed report that outlines energy conservation opportunities specific to the building.
Businesses with an annual peak demand of less than 100kW can qualify for free, select energy-saving products, including screw-in LED lamps and faucet aerators, during the audit.
If the business is larger than 50,000 square feet, you can receive a detailed energy audit for a small fee.
In addition, your business may be eligible to apply for the city’s Capital Project Grant Program to help further offset costs of an efficiency project.
