The 2040 Comprehensive Plan is a long-range policy document with goals and policies to guide the city over the next 20 years. In this advance planning context, the Plan is separate from immediate and more urgent needs subject to more strategic actions under consideration today such as staffing, facilities or utility operations.

Staff has designed a “meeting in a box” activity for residents to have small group discussions to review key concepts for the future Plan. A meeting in a box is a flexible engagement tool to supplement previous Westminster Forward outreach providing residents who could not attend the opportunity to discuss concepts with their household, consistent with COVID-19 protocols.

The meeting in a box kit contains everything a resident may need to host their own discussion including instruction sheets, discussion questions, worksheets for participant responses, feedback questionnaires, and directions for recording and returning responses.
