Nominate your champions of community

The Westminster Legacy Foundation needs your help identifying those bringing out the best in our community. Nominations are now being accepted for outstanding contributions.

Winners will be celebrated at the foundation’s Community Awards Breakfast on Thursday, April 30, at the Westin Westminster Conference Center. Everyone is invited to nominate individuals, businesses and organizations that work to make the Westminster community thrive.

Past honorees include Westminster’s first female mayor, Vi June, and the man responsible for Water World and more than 27 parks in the Westminster and Hyland Hills communities, Greg Mastriona.

Awards will be given in numerous categories:

The Westminster Legacy Foundation connects people who care with causes that enrich our community. Founded in 2001 by then-Westminster Mayor Nancy Heil, the foundation has donated more than $1 million back to the community and has led fundraising efforts for the Armed Forces Tribute Garden, Jessica Ridgeway Memorial Park and the Nature Playground at Westminster Station Park.

The foundation works to fill funding gaps for needs in our community that would not otherwise be met in the areas of: Basic Needs, Conservation, and Arts and Culture. To learn more about the foundation or to make a donation to support your community, visit westyfoundation.org.
