Check out the latest updates to both the city’s 2040 Comprehensive Plan and Code Forward project.

The Comprehensive Plan web page includes a presentation to City Council which reviewed the four guiding principles of Thriving Community, Healthy Community, Great Neighborhoods, and Managed Growth; and the proposed organization of the Comprehensive Plan.

Feedback on the Comprehensive Plan has discussed the continuation of the city’s open space and trail network; suggestions to improve neighborhood services; and concerns for current challenges such as water availability, financial resiliency and revenue diversification, aging infrastructure, food access, and the needs of the growing senior population.

For the Code Forward project, the city has posted a review of work completed thus far, project goals and a review of the organization of the proposed future code. With the city’s sign code project on track for completion in December, work will resume on Code Forward.
