Reminder: Planning Commission meeting for Uplands rescheduled to Tuesday, Dec. 17

A public hearing and consideration of three proposed Comprehensive Plan Amendments for the Uplands development (formerly Rose Hill and Pillar of Fire) has been rescheduled from Tuesday, Dec. 10, to Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 7 p.m. at Westminster City Hall.

The public hearing is for the consideration of three proposed Comprehensive Plan Amendments within the proposed Uplands development and does not include the developer’s applications for the Preliminary Development Plan, Annexation and Rezoning. Those applications also require a public hearing and consideration before the Planning Commission and City Council.

The development is located in the vicinity of West 84th Avenue and Federal Boulevard.

The reason for the rescheduling was to comply with the mandatory mailed, published and posted notice requirements of the Westminster Municipal Code. While the mailed and published notice for the Tuesday, Dec. 10, hearing date was in compliance with the Westminster Municipal Code, the posted notice was of an inadequate quantity.

The Westminster Municipal Code Section 11-5-13 requires a minimum of one sign for each of the parcels under consideration be posted on the property at least 10 days prior to the scheduled hearing. Two of the three subject parcels were not posted.
