St. Mark Village project applicant to request public hearing be rescheduled
UPDATE: The applicant for the St. Mark Village Project, St. Charles Town Company, has requested a continuance of the City Council hearings on the Comprehensive Plan amendment, Preliminary Development Plan, and Official Development Plan, scheduled for Monday, Aug. 26, to Sept. 9.
City Council will consider this request at the Monday, Aug. 26 meeting. If Council approves the request, the meeting on Monday, Sept. 9 will start at 6 p.m. rather than 7 p.m.
The six acre St. Mark Village property, owned by 3100 W 97th Avenue, LLLP, is located at the northwest corner of Federal Boulevard and 97th Avenue, immediately west and north of the Wishbone restaurant. The proposed project consists of 216 one-, two-, and three-bedroom affordable rental apartments. The developer is seeking a Comprehensive Plan amendment, and approval of a Preliminary Development Plan and an Official Development Plan.
A City Council public hearing to consider the Comprehensive Plan amendment was held on Monday, June 24, was continued to Monday, July 8, and then continued again to Monday, Aug. 26. This meeting will be held at Westminster City Hall beginning at 7:00 p.m. Also at the Monday, Aug. 26 public hearing, the City Council will consider the Preliminary Development Plan (PDP) and Official Development Plan (ODP) for the project.

- Planning Commission Meeting about Comprehensive Plan amendment (held Tuesday, May 14, at City Hall; Planning Commission voted 5-0 to recommend approval);
- Neighborhood Meeting about the PDP and ODP (held Tuesday, July 2, at St. Mark Catholic Church Annex Building);
- Planning Commission Meeting about the PDP and ODP (held Tuesday, Aug. 13, at City Hall; Planning Commission voted 4-3 to recommend approval).
