Upcoming livestreams on May 7 cover reopening city facilities, mental health support

As the city nears the end of the current Stay-At-Home order on Friday, May 8, there are questions about how city facilities will reopen. What will that phased plan look like? In addition, during these tough times, fear and anxiety about the unknown and current challenging times can be quite a bit to bear.

To help, the city has two WestyRISE livestreams scheduled on Thursday, May 7. WestyRISE is the city’s economic recovery initiative that provide comprehensive programs and services to help our community recover from the COVID-19 public health crisis.

WestyRISE: Road Map to Reopening City Facilities – Thursday, May 7, 5:30-6:15 p.m.

Hunkering down through the Stay-at-Home Orders has saved lives. Building on that progress by slowly reopening city facilities and services will require continued discipline and caution from all of us. Join city leadership as they discuss a phased plan to reopen municipal facilities. The WestyRISE: Roadmap to Reopening livestream program will give an overview of what the road ahead will look like, and the health metrics that will guide our way.

WestyRISE: Mental Health Support During Tough Times – Thursday, May 7, 6:30-7:15 p.m.

The outbreak of COVID-19 and the global pandemic are stressful. Loss, fear, and anxiety about the unknown can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions in adults and children. Learning how better to cope with stress like this will make you, the people you care about, and your community stronger. Mental health professionals from Adams and Jefferson Counties are joining forces with the city to offer resources, tips and hope during a livestream program.

Foros en vivo el 7 de mayo informara sobre la reapertura de la ciudad y salud mental

Conforme se llega a la fecha límite de la Orden de Salud Pública para quedarse en casa el 8 de mayo, la Ciudad de Westminster sabe que hay preguntas sobre cuál es el plan de reapertura. También sabe que estos tiempos son difíciles y estresantes y a muchos residentes los llena de ansiedad no saber qué va a pasar. Para esto la ciudad presentara dos foros WestyRISE el 7 de mayo. WestyRISE es la iniciativa de recuperación económica de la ciudad que ofrece programas y servicios para ayudar a la comunidad a recuperarse de la crisis causada por COVID-19.
