When can you receive the COVID-19 vaccination and where?

As of Feb. 1, COVID-19 vaccinations are limited to health care workers, first responders, and those over the age of 70; however, the next phase of the vaccination rollout is coming.

The next phase, called 1B.2, includes Coloradoans ages 65 and older and pre-K-12 educators and child care workers. Those in this category are scheduled to be eligible to receive the vaccination starting Monday, Feb. 8.

Do you know where you can get vaccinated? The state is coordinating with local public health agencies, health care providers, pharmacies, and diverse community partners to distribute the vaccine as equitably and efficiently as possible.

For example, Jefferson County Public Health had been focusing its efforts on healthcare workers and first responders, as directed by the Colorado Department of Public Health (CDPHE). However, they recently expanded the vaccination availability to residents 70 years and older at a clinic inside a Arvada Fire Protection District training center.

To find the most up-to-date vaccination information and find a vaccine provider location near you, visit the CDPHE’s vaccination location web page.
